Our pricing table below displays the standard cost of available birds at age 2 weeks, the next column is the weekly increase in price and the final column is an example 5 week price column still a rather young age for most birds since you would need to be a very experienced hand feeder… better to get them at 6 or 7 weeks old… if you are somewhat experienced this is the age at which most un-weaned birds are purchased, as well as the earliest age in which we are able to ship the birds via Delta airlines (currently because of Covid 19 shipping is more challenging).    If you wish to purchase a bird younger than 5 weeks you will need to pick it up in person as the chance a healthy shipping experience is reduced.   The “Price Increase Each Week” column displays the cost added for each additional week older that we have the birds here on the ranch before they are purchased.

Most adults will have a set price, which varies between each individual parrot based on their ability to be a great pet, such as how advanced they have been trained, how well they are talking, if they are potty trained and if they are flight trained to return to their owner.

Shipping is available to all 50 states in the USA

Typically add $260 for most birds to ship to most states, which includes: Delta Airline Ticket, Custom Crate, live arrival guarantee and handling.  Call for exact quote on shipping price.  Hawaii rates are higher for shipping.  From March 1st, 2018 and until further notice Delta is the only shipping option, please let us know if you have any other information about shipping possibilities.  I do get lots of emails about shipping Cockatiels and your best option is to collaborate with a Pet shop in your area to ship ten cockatiels because the shipping for ten is not much more than for one bird and each bird is also cheaper if in a ten quantity purchase.

We ship birds on several different airlines. Birds are shipped in wooden carriers or plastic pet kennels. Your pet parrot rides in a special climate controlled, pressurized compartment on the plane.  We use the airlines because it is the fastest way to transport the birds from our place to yours. Although traveling is not that hard on them, (remember they were born to fly) we do not want your pet parrot to spend any more time than necessary in transit.  For this reason we look for the shortest route and always schedule direct flights if possible.

All above are for sale except the birds here on Retirement or Donated birds with specific instructions that only we can fill.  Disabled parrots will only go to special homes that are willing to take on the modified cage and care requirements that may be required.

Arizona Parrots in Tucson strongly believes that the skills of hand feeding and weaning birds can be learned by most people.  The best way to get hand feeding experience is to start by hand feeding a baby cockatiel before attempting to hand feed a larger Parrot.

We have found that it is not necessary to hand feed a bird in order to bond with it.  We can give you plenty of testimonials from individuals who have purchased fully weaned birds from us and now have wonderful relationships with their new pet.  All deposits on baby birds are not refundable and must be applied to a future bird purchase.

Please, when you email us, explain your experience in hand feeding before requesting a young baby.

Note:  If you already own a parrot and are seeking help to better understand your pet, please call us.  We here at staging-arizonaparrots-dev.kinsta.cloud are Bird Behaviorist Specialists.  We can teach you how to modify your parrots behavior and help you teach your parrot to become a better family pet. For this custom service, we charge $60 per hour for small birds, and $100 per hour for large birds.  We also have a Advance Parrot training class which is one year long and provides up to 6 private hours plus 4 group classes plus 20 consultant calls in that first year.  The value of this year long class is well over $800 and it is only $300 on special and you will earn a Advanced Parrot Trainer Certificate plus tee shirt plus photo with 4 or more birds siting on you.  I also have a class structure that allows you to do this class long distance by Skype, Viber or Zoom… if you are not able to travel here to our Parrot Ranch.
